Develop The Habit of Thanking and Complimenting People | Sales Training Malaysia
This has to be one of the greatest qualities of successful people. It takes a big-thinking individual to give another person a thank you or a compliment. I am not suggesting you should give a compliment just for the sake of giving a compliment. This can have a negative effect.
Being grateful is one of the best feel good factors, it will also make us happier and healthier, the habitual practice of appreciation can increase happiness levels by approximately 25 per cent. Cultivating an attitude of gratitude is proving to have so many psychological benefits. Research findings claim positive health benefits, less frequent negative emotions, and an enhancement of the feel good factor. Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich writes: ‘If you make your prayers an expression of gratitude and thanks for the blessings you have already received instead of requests for what you don’t have, you will obtain results a great deal faster.
For all of us in the sales world are often dependent on the help and support we get from our colleagues within the office environment. Always give a compliment when a job has been well done, or at the very least a thank you. This positive habit, like every other habit, requires continual practice.
